Size 9 3/4 on a 5mm Sterling Silver 5mm Hammered Band
Some stones carry their wealth quietly. This one does not hide it. The oval Sonoran Gold turquoise cabochon measures 16mm x 11mm compact, precise, and alive with a vivid lime-to-teal green ground threaded with veins of warm gold matrix that run through the stone like a prospector’s dream. It is a stone that earns its name every time light touches it.
Set in a clean double .925 sterling silver bezel, the setting frames the stone with modern simplicity no rope, no ornament, just silver meeting stone with quiet confidence. Below it, a slender 5mm hammered sterling silver band keeps the profile refined and effortless, letting the stone’s saturated color carry the full weight of the piece. This ring wears beautifully alone or stacked understated enough for every day, distinctive enough to be noticed.

The Gold Seam - Sonoran
Sonoran Gold turquoise comes from the copper-rich desert country of Sonora, Mexico geologically continuous with the turquoise-producing formations of the American Southwest. What distinguishes Sonoran Gold from standard Sonoran turquoise is its matrix character the warm gold and pyrite inclusions that run through the stone alongside its vivid green ground, catching light in a way that reads almost metallic.
The green in Sonoran turquoise comes from elevated iron content during formation, pushing the stone’s color toward lime, apple, and teal rather than the sky blues of Arizona mines. Natural untreated Sonoran Gold of this saturation and matrix quality is increasingly rare and increasingly sought by collectors who recognize the particular alchemy of green stone and gold vein. This cabochon is a small stone that carries significant presence.
