There is an hour in the late afternoon when the light goes pale and everything softens when cream becomes luminous and shadow turns to slate and the world holds still for a moment before the colors change. Porcelain jasper lives in that hour. This elongated oval stone is 2⅛” tall and ¾” wide, its surface a quiet landscape of cream and warm ochre interrupted by a bold band of steel blue that crosses the stone like a horizon line deliberate, unhurried, impossible to replicate. Set in an oxidized sterling silver bezel with a segmented border and granulation ball accents, the back plate an open oval frame hand-stamped with the artist’s maker’s mark. Pendant only, no chain. Some stones carry their own weather. This is one of them.
