Size 9 on a 8mm Hammered Band
There's a particular green that only variscite carries the color of new aspen leaf held up to spring light, veined through with matrix the color of old rain. This stone runs deep with it, a broken web of dark lines crossing pale jade ground, no two paths the same. Set in a bezel built up with twisted wire and small hand-formed beads, the stone rises high off a hammered 8mm band, substantial enough to anchor the hand without ever feeling heavy. Light catches the hammer marks in the silver the way it catches ripples on the Rio Grande at low water.
