This stone is doing something that most turquoise cannot. Morenci II with pyrite matrix vivid teal turquoise broken by shards of silver-gold pyrite that catch light like fractured mirror, like metal pressed into stone, like something geological and something precious occupying the same space at the same time. The stone is ¾" across, round and substantial, set in a plain polished bezel that does not compete no rope, no ornament, just clean silver holding the stone still so the pyrite can do what pyrite does in any light. Mounted on an 8mm hammered band, every hammer mark a facet, the whole surface alive. Size 7½. Morenci pyrite matrix is rare within an already rare stone. This is the kind of piece that collectors recognize on sight and do not put back down.
