Two things are happening in this ring and both of them are extraordinary. The stone is Morenci II turquoise vivid sky blue with dramatic dark matrix patches that read like islands in open water, ⅞" tall and ⅝" wide, set in an oxidized oval bezel bordered by twisted rope. That alone would be enough. Then there is the band a 6mm embossed sterling silver band with a deeply tooled woodgrain wave pattern that flows around the full circumference, each line precise, the whole surface moving like water or wood grain or the rings of a tree cut lengthwise. Oxidized to bring out every groove. This is a band that earns as much attention as the stone. Size 8¼. Every element of this ring was made by hand and made with intention. It shows.

Morenci Turquoise comes from the Morenci open-pit copper mine in Greenlee County, Arizona one of the most historically significant turquoise sources in North America. The mine produced gem-quality turquoise for decades, with original Morenci material now largely exhausted and commanding significant collector prices. Morenci II refers to turquoise recovered from later mining operations at the same site, carrying the same geological signature vivid blue-green color, distinctive warm brown matrix at a period when access to the deposit was renewed. As copper mining continues to reshape the landscape, gem-quality Morenci material of any designation is finite and increasingly scarce. Each stone is unrepeatable.

A NOTE ON RING SIZING

Getting the right fit starts with an accurate measurement. Wide band rings in particular may require sizing up by ¼ to ½ size for a comfortable fit, so please keep that in mind when ordering. If you’re unsure of your size, we recommend visiting a local jeweler for a professional measurement before placing your order. Fire & Stone cannot be held responsible for made-to-order rings that are crafted true to the size provided but do not fit as expected.
DAILY WEAR

Put jewelry on last - after lotion and perfume. Remove before swimming, cleaning , or working with your hands.

CLEANING

Warm water and a drop pf dish soap does the job. Use a soft cloth, dry immediately, and finish with a silver polishing cloth.

TARNISH

Tarnish is natural, not damage. If a piece has an antiqued finish, polish only the raised surfaces to preserve the contrast.

STORAGE

Store pieces separately in a soft pouch or lined box. Keep away from humid areas and direct sunlight to slow tarnishing.
