There is a light inside moonstone that belongs to no other stone on earth. Not reflected, not refracted adularescence, a floating glow that moves across the surface like light moving across still water, like the light inside a cloud when the sun is behind it. This rainbow moonstone is 1⅛” tall and ¾” wide, its body white and translucent, carrying a blue flash that shifts with every movement a stone that is never the same twice and never less than beautiful. Set in an oxidized oval bezel bordered by twisted rope, the back plate a solid polished oval hand-stamped with the artist’s maker’s mark. Pendant only, no chain. Some stones hold light. This one is made of it.
