THIS LISTING IS FOR A CUFF ONLY!  THE MATCHING RING IS AVAILABLE ON THE RING PAGE!

Size 6" Cuff on a Matte 10mm Hammered Band

Not all turquoise is blue. This one is the color of a full moon over snow pale, luminous, marked by dark inclusions that drift across its surface like shadows crossing an open field at midnight. The round White Turquoise cabochon measures 17mm across, its stark white ground speckled with black and charcoal matrix that gives the stone a quiet, celestial drama entirely its own.

Set in a clean polished .925 sterling silver bezel no rope, no ornament, nothing to compete the stone is allowed to exist on its own terms. Below it, a broad 10mm hammered matte sterling silver cuff gives this cuff a modern architectural presence that sets it apart from every other piece in the case. Where most stones ask for decoration, this one asks for silence. The matte finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, grounding the ring’s energy and letting the stone’s pale luminosity carry the composition.

  • White turquoise is among the rarest and most misunderstood stones in the Southwest lapidary tradition. True white turquoise forms in the same copper-rich hydrothermal environments as its blue and green counterparts the difference in color comes from the absence of iron and copper during formation, leaving a stone that is chemically turquoise but visually arresting in its pallor.

This stone comes from the Tonopah region of Nevada high desert basin and range country where ancient volcanic activity created some of the most unusual mineral deposits in the American West. Tonopah white turquoise is particularly prized for its clean, porcelain-like base and bold dark matrix inclusions, a combination that gives each stone a graphic, almost painterly quality. Natural white turquoise of this character is genuinely rare and increasingly sought by collectors who know what they are looking at.
