These stones look like country seen from above the kind of wide, open terrain where the roads run straight for miles and the weather moves across the land in visible fronts and everything is laid out plainly, without apology. Two sister Maligano jasper teardrops, each measuring 1⅛” x ¾”, carry a cool blue-grey ground with warm tan pooling across the surface and black dendritic inclusions branching through it like river systems, like tree lines, like the dark edges of things seen from a great height.
Each stone reads differently same material, same formation, two distinct landscapes preserved in silica. The sister quality is part of what makes them work as a pair: not identical, not competing, but clearly from the same place and the same moment in geological time. The twisted rope border bezel in oxidized .925 sterling silver runs the full perimeter of each teardrop, with small ball terminals at the corners a detail that anchors the setting and gives it a quiet finish that the stone’s own complexity rewards. Sterling lever backs complete the earrings at 1¾” total length with secure, easy wearability.
