Size 10 on a 8mm Hammered Sterling Silver Band
This is what the desert looks like at the end of the day when the light goes sideways and everything catches fire. The elongated oval composite cabochon measures 34mm x 20mm its surface dominated by a sweep of burnt orange and gold spiny oyster that moves through the stone like the last hour of sunlight on a canyon wall. Cream and white layers drift through it like cooling rock. And at the base, almost hidden, a single bold pocket of Kingman teal holds its ground cool water at the foot of a burning mesa.
Set in .925 sterling silver with a full hand-twisted rope border, the bezel lets the stone’s fierce color do the work without interruption. Below it, an 8mm hammered sterling silver band carries the piece with quiet, textured confidence its hand-worked surface a grounding contrast to the wild color above. This ring was made for the person who wears color like punctuation.
