THIS LISTING IS ONLY FOR A PAIR OF EARRINGS!
Tear Drop - 1¼” x ⅞” stone · 1¾” total length
A high desert lake in southeastern Oregon, ancient and undisturbed, fed by volcanic springs and ringed by rimrock that is the country this stone comes from, and that is what it carries in its banding. Two sister Gary Green jasper teardrops, each measuring 1¼” x ⅞”, hold horizontal bands of teal, deep blue-green, olive, and warm gold that move across the surface in the slow, layered way that only sedimentary material produces each band a season, each color a shift in the mineral chemistry of the ancient lake bed where this stone formed millions of years ago.
The stones are sisters same deposit, same banding rhythm, different conversations in color. One leads with the deeper teal, the other with the warmer olive. Together they carry the full palette of the place they came from. Each sits in a clean polished bezel inside an open teardrop frame in .925 sterling silver a modern setting that lets the eye travel from the stone outward through the frame and back, the open space becoming part of the composition rather than its border. Sterling lever backs complete the earrings at 1¾” total length with easy, secure wearability.
These are earrings that look like somewhere you would want to be.
