The Deschutes River cuts through the high desert of central Oregon the way time cuts through everything slowly, without apology, leaving something beautiful behind. This jasper carries that country inside it. Warm amber and russet move across the surface like canyon walls in afternoon light, interrupted by dark swooping inclusions that read like shadow moving across open terrain the kind of pattern that stops you, that makes you look twice, that cannot be explained by anything but geology and time. The stone is 1³⁄₁₆” tall and ¾” wide, set in an oxidized freeform teardrop bezel with a twisted rope top border, a segmented lower border, and granulation ball accents at the base. The back plate is an open frame, hand-stamped with the artist’s maker’s mark. Pendant only, no chain. Oregon country, finished in Taos.
