Tyrone turquoise does not need ornamentation. It needs only to be seen. This oval stone is 1½” tall and 1” wide, its color a vivid, saturated sky blue crossed by dramatic gold matrix that moves across the surface like veins of fire through open sky the signature of Grant County stone, unmistakable to anyone who knows what they are looking at. Set in an oxidized oval bezel bordered by twisted rope, with granulation ball accents along the right side that frame without competing. The back plate is an open shield cutout, hand-stamped with the artist’s maker’s mark finished as carefully behind as in front. Pendant only, no chain. Tyrone turquoise at this color saturation is not easy to find. This is what it looks like when the mine gives you something worth keeping.
