The Over Cast | Blue Biggs Jasper Pendant
ONE OF ONE • ONLY 1 AVAILABLE
Pedal - 1⅜” x ¾” stone
There is a particular sky that belongs to the Columbia River Gorge in late autumn grey and cream and moving, clouds that carry the same banding as the canyon walls below them, as if the earth and the sky decided to tell the same story. Blue Biggs jasper tells it in stone. This freeform teardrop is 1⅜” tall and ¾” wide, its surface a swirling composition of warm grey, cream, and charcoal that moves across the stone like weather no fixed pattern, no repeated line, nothing that could be predicted or duplicated. Set in an oxidized twisted rope border that follows every curve, a single granulation ball anchoring the base, the back plate an open freeform frame hand-stamped with the artist’s maker’s mark. Pendant only, no chain. Some stones carry sunshine. This one carries the sky before the rain — and that is its own kind of beautiful.
