The pendant came first. These earrings complete it. The same hushed, luminous Oregon plume agate pale cream and warm ivory ground with soft white plumes drifting through it like clouds before rain, like breath on cold air, like something about to happen that hasn’t happened yet now in two perfectly matched marquise cabochons, each measuring 1” x ¾”, set in hand-twisted rope border bezels in oxidized .925 sterling silver.
The marquise form gives these earrings an elegant pointed movement longer than they are wide, tapering at each end in a shape that elongates the line of the neck and catches light differently at every angle. The rope border frames each stone with the quiet handmade detail that marks all Fire & Stone work not a cast finding but a twisted wire, made by hand and applied with intention. Sterling shepherd hooks complete the earrings with easy natural movement. At 1” they wear with the same quiet confidence as the stone they carry understated, luminous, and entirely certain of themselves.
Wear them alone. Wear them with the pendant. Either way, they arrive before the rain and stay after it passes.
