Size 13 1/2 on a 10mm Ornamental Band

There is a particular kind of presence that belongs to the desert’s great formations the ones that rise from flat earth without apology, that command the horizon simply by existing. This ring carries that same energy.

The rectangular Tyrone turquoise cabochon measures 25mm x 20mm a clean, uncompromising geometry that lets the stone declare itself fully. Vivid teal threaded with the warm iron-rich matrix of its New Mexico host rock, it sits in a precise rectangular sterling bezel framed by a hand-twisted rope border and ball terminals that soften the stone’s strong lines just enough. Below it, a triple-stack ornamental shank 10mm of layered sterling silver rises to meet the setting with architectural intention. This is a ring built for a large hand and an unhurried confidence. It does not ask for attention. It simply receives it.

  • About Tyrone Turquoise

The Tyrone mine sits in Grant County in the high desert of southwestern New Mexico ancient Mimbres and Apache country, land that has been worked and revered for over a thousand years. One of the largest open-pit copper operations in North America, the mine has yielded turquoise as a byproduct of that excavation for well over a century, producing stones of remarkable color complexity and character.

Natural, untreated Tyrone is increasingly rare. Its spectrum runs from clear sky blue to deep teal, often laced with brown, tan, and gold matrix that carries the full mineral story of the land — copper, iron, and time pressed into a single stone. Collectors and silversmiths prize it precisely because no two pieces read the same. This cabochon is a testament to that truth — part sky, part earth, entirely New Mexico
